Syrian Interior Ministry Launches First Citizens’ Complaints Office
Welat TV – Erbil
The Syrian Ministry of Interior has announced the opening of its first dedicated office for receiving citizens' complaints, aimed at facilitating public access to justice and improving transparency.
In a statement published on the ministry’s official Facebook page, it said the move seeks to "preserve the dignity of citizens and serve the public interest."
The ministry emphasized that the initiative is part of broader efforts to build trust and mutual respect between citizens and security forces, and to ensure justice within the internal security institution.
The plan includes four additional offices set to open progressively in Aleppo, Latakia, Homs, and Deir Ez-Zour.
The ministry assured that all submitted complaints will be followed up, and that officials found guilty of negligence or misconduct will be held accountable in accordance with existing laws and regulations.
This development follows a major organizational restructuring of the ministry announced on May 24, which included the establishment of new departments to enhance public security.
