More than 300 Israeli military incursions have taken place in southern Syria since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime on December 8, 2024, according to documentation by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

In a report released on Monday, November 3, 2025, the Observatory stated that a total of 314 incursions were recorded, including military operations and arrests, primarily concentrated in the countryside of Daraa and Quneitra, as well as areas near the Golan Heights.

The report noted that October saw the highest number of Israeli incursions, with 40 separate operations conducted in the towns and villages of Sayida, Mariyah, and Jamlah in Daraa countryside.

Similar activities were recorded in al-Samadaniyah, Ruwayhina, Khan Arnabeh, Jubata al-Khashab, al-Hamidiya, Tel Ahmar, Tarnajeh, and Be’er Ajam in Quneitra province.

The Observatory added that Israeli movements have intensified since late last year, ranging from ground inspections and temporary checkpoints to expanded aerial and military surveillance.

These actions have heightened tensions along the border areas and worsened civilian suffering due to repeated detentions and blockades.

The escalation comes as Israel and Syria continue U.S.-mediated security talks, with several rounds of direct negotiations held in Baku in recent months.
