Welat TV – Erbil
The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that its forces, in coordination with the Syrian Ministry of Interior, carried out a large-scale operation targeting ISIS positions in southern Syria, achieving what it described as a “significant success” in degrading the group’s capabilities and disrupting its activities.
In a statement released on Sunday, 30 November 2025, CENTCOM said it destroyed more than 15 ISIS sites in southern Syria after they were identified through joint efforts involving U.S. officers within the International Coalition and Syrian security forces.
According to the statement, these sites contained weapons depots that were destroyed between 24 and 27 November in Rural Damascus province.
The operation resulted in the destruction of more than 130 shells of various calibers, as well as machine guns, anti-tank mines, and materials used in manufacturing improvised explosive devices. Quantities of narcotics were also found inside several of the targeted sites.
CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper stated that the joint operation “ensures the continued gains made against ISIS and prevents the group from reconstituting its networks or exporting its terrorist attacks to the United States and around the world.” He stressed that U.S. forces “will remain vigilant and will continue to pursue the remnants of the organization in Syria with full force.”
Forces from U.S Central Command and the Syrian Ministry of Interior located and destroyed more than 15 sites containing ISIS weapons caches in southern Syria, Nov. 24-27.
