The International Coalition base in Qasrek Base, located in the countryside of Hasaka, came under a drone attack amid ongoing escalation in the regional conflict.

Local sources reported on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, that the base was targeted during the past hours by drones believed to be Iranian, in a development reflecting the intensifying scope of confrontation in the region.

The sources added that coalition forces successfully intercepted and shot down five drones, with no human casualties reported.

This marks the third such drone attack targeting Qasrek base in the context of escalating tensions linked to the US-Israeli war against Iran since February 28.

Similar attacks have previously targeted the al-Tanf Base on the Syrian-Iraqi border, as well as sites in Kharab al-Jir near the city of Rmelan, reportedly launched from Iraqi territory.

On March 30, the Syrian army’s Operations Authority announced a large-scale drone attack targeting several military bases near the Iraqi border, stating that the drones had been launched from inside Iraq.

It is worth noting that the United States had begun a gradual withdrawal from some of these bases since early February, handing them over to units of the Syrian army.
