US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, on Friday, said that Iran should review the effectiveness of its weapons systems after its "failed attack on Israel earlier this month."

Lloyd Austin added in a press conference that “they must review the effectiveness of their weapons systems and plans,” according to what was reported by “Reuters.”

The US Secretary of Defense continued by saying: "I believe that Israel has shown that it has a great ability to defend itself."

On the night of April 14-15, Iran launched its first direct attacks against Israel, using dozens of drones and missiles, in response to the targeting of the building attached to its embassy in Damascus, which led to the killing of Iranian leaders and military advisors.

Less than a week after the Iranian attack on military sites inside Israel, several sources confirmed that Israel carried out a missile strike at dawn on Friday, April 19, targeting a site in Iran.

An Israeli source told the Jerusalem Post: “We targeted a military base close to an Iranian nuclear site in Isfahan.” Pointing out that the targeted base in Isfahan led drones that attacked Israel.

According to the newspaper, the Israeli attack on Isfahan was carried out by planes with long-range missiles, and not by drones or surface-to-air missiles.
