Israeli Patrol Detains Syrians and Threatens to Demolish Homes in Daraa Countryside

An Israeli forces patrol, accompanied by a bulldozer, three vehicles, and infantry personnel, entered the Yarmouk Basin area in the western Daraa countryside on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
Local sources reported that the patrol removed stones from the Abdeen–Al-Arida road before its personnel deployed across the fields alongside the road, while gunfire was heard in the area.
The sources added that the patrol detained some civilians while they were traveling along the road before later releasing them. Its personnel also damaged the tires of their motorcycles.
According to the sources, the Israeli forces warned residents against blocking the road with stones again, threatening to demolish homes if the road was blocked once more, before the patrol withdrew from the area.
The sources also reported that an Israeli drone dropped a bomb on the road, with no damage reported.
