Former Assad Regime Military Pilot Arrested in Aleppo

The Internal Security Forces in Aleppo have announced the arrest of a former military pilot who served in the forces of the Assad regime.

The Aleppo Internal Security Forces said the pilot was arrested as part of a campaign targeting individuals accused of committing crimes against civilians during the former regime’s rule.

According to the security forces, the pilot is currently being investigated and interrogated to identify and establish the full extent of his activities during the Assad regime era.

The arrest comes amid ongoing efforts by Syria’s new authorities to detain former regime personnel accused of involvement in violations against civilians.

Similar arrests of former regime officers have also been reported in other parts of Syria.
